I have had the honor to receive many prestigious awards during my healthcare career, including the Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center Nurse of the Year Award (2007). Recently, I was honored to receive the Johns Hopkins/Suburban Hospital James Brown Oncology Award for Excellence in Oncology Nursing Care (2015)!
The Brown Award, established in honor of Suburban Hospital’s James A. Brown, MD, recognizes a nurse who goes above and beyond as a patient advocate, exhibiting exemplary compassion and empathy in communicating with oncology patients and their families. It is always my mission as both an Oncology nurse as well as a health care clinician to ensure that all patients are taken care of every step of the way and I plan to continue doing so for many years to come.
