Veggies
- 1 large carrot
- 1 cup fresh organic broccoli
- 1 small zucchini or yellow summer squash
- 1-2 large stalks of celery
- 1 small cucumber
- 1 cup fresh green beans
- 1 cup fresh organic spinach
- 1 cup fresh organic baby or regular kale
- 1 cup fresh organic (deep green) romaine lettuce or collard greens
Fruits
- 1⁄2 cup frozen organic peaches
- 1⁄2 cup frozen organic strawberries
- 1⁄2 cup frozen organic raspberries
- 1⁄2 cup frozen organic blueberries
- 1⁄2 cup frozen organic blackberries
- 2 medium-size organic bananas
- 1 fresh sweet orange, peeled
Spices & Other Ingredients
- 1⁄2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1⁄2 teaspoon turmeric
- 1⁄4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1” – 2” piece of fresh ginger (peeled)
- 1 teaspoon NavitasTM Raw Cacao Powder
- 1 tablespoon NavitasTM Protein Powder blend or NavitasTM Superfood Blend
- 2 Cups of spring or filtered water or natural juice, if desired
DIRECTIONS:
Add water, ginger, spices, protein powders, and veggies to Vitamix and blend on medium-high speed x 30 seconds. Add remaining fruit and blend 45 – 60 seconds on medium-high speed until smooth; may add more/less water as desired. This makes three 12-ounce smoothies or four 10-ounce smoothies.
PLEASE NOTE:
- Frozen fruit is often much healthier than fresh fruit because the fruit is picked at its ripest and frozen immediately. This
process preserves all the vitamins & nutrients often lost in the shipping and selling process of fresh fruit. - You can freeze 2 of the smoothies for the next day’s use; just make sure to save them immediately (to preserve vital raw nutrients) in a BPA-free plastic container. Then, remove from freezer and leave in refrigerator overnight to thaw. Shake well before drinking or place back in Vitamix for 30 seconds to blend smooth again.
